In cleaning house. Just dug one up from the old days of doing sound. I know they used to be cool. Anyone using them in the studio

I have just got one from a client and am quite excited...what is it compareable too? Can't seem to find much info online on it.

Audio Arts made some nice boxes. Designed more for live...but the EQ can really sound great in a recording environment.

They were made near here, so we saw tons of of back in the day.

I had an AA eq. I liked the sound but it was unbalanced so I sold it.
It was a nice eq though.

I had a rack with 4 years ago liked them except for the noise ! I think Jim Williams has a mod for that!

I have 2. I think they are just ok. I think plugs can sound better. I've used the one EQ now for side chains into comps. lent the other to a friend.

Back in the day..I used the inst in on the back for bass D/I.

I stumbled onto one of these about three years ago that had just been recapped by a guy who used to work for Shure. He also installed balanced XLR I/O. It sounded so good with a guitar that I bought it on the spot. I was surprised to find it was even better on microphones!

I bought three more hoping to find a match for it, but all three were quite noisy - they really just weren't useable as studio eq's. If you're going to buy one try it in person first!
