cymbal stand holds it
you can also change the sound by tightening and loosening the drum head

ever since I made this I wanted to build a speaker that you could tune like a drum

but way out of my technical league

However...
My friend manage to blow up a pair of them.
He borrowed my old Phase Linear Series Two 700 power amp and my old Hafler pre amp, to use with his beloved Bose 901s.

To make a long story short...
He accepted the challenge and wound up with all of his speakers blown.
A couple of his drivers even caught on fire.
So much for the Bose 901s mythical "unlimited power handling."

That's exactly how I know about the wholesale cost of the 901's replacement drivers!
LOL!

If you are using Bose speakers...Real music doesn't sound that way.

Yeah, well, they didn't call them "Flame Linears" for nothing! The output transistors were incredibly weak for so much B+ applied. Seems like it was over 100vdc or something outrageous. They were cheap, but lots of folks paid in the end with reconing fees. Sorry to drift OT
