Mackie Control Universal Pro Problem

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem or if it's just my unit, but when I was using it (mind you, the unit is like 3 weeks old tops) but the sweat from my hand when rubbing on the units surface has smeared the paint off of the units surface. It's not the fader lines, but the surrounding line that goes below the faders, my sweat or something has rubbed off the paint job... is that normal? I had my original mackie control (the non-pro) and i never had a single problem like this. Let me know

I've not had this problem, but I have to say, I'm not sweating. I'd be more concerned bout your environment. What's causing you to sweat? Is your control room that hot, if so, that alone is not good for your gear.

I appreciate you getting back to me. I actually called the Mackie Tech Support and they are sending me a new one, apparently the first 200 units of the particular batch with my serial number I bought had a defective "paint job," as I was told. As far as the sweating, it's not hot at all in my studio, I just have very sweaty hands (kinda a personal thing i suppose) even in the coldest of environments i can manage to sweat somehow.
