pre amp shopping!! an interesting find

hey people.

its new years and im in the mood to do some pre amp shopping
anyway ive stumbled upton this is interesting looking preamp, the Pro-Ject "Tube Box II"
it looks like a really nice pre but i have never really heard that much about it, good reviews or negative. i was hoping someone could shead some light

what does that mean? i take its not used for voice or instrument then?

No, a phono stage is what you need to use with a turntable to properly equalize the output from the cartridge and amplify it to line level. Pro-ject is a company that makes turntables and stuff.

Phono stage...I think we used to call the ones we had way back in the stone age, head amps. They brought the crystal level up to line level.
