I demoed it. Just another digital reverb imo. I actually think I preferred CSR.

Yeah that was my feeling, too. Its very clean sounding, like a worse version of the new TC reverbs. The reverbs do "stick out" pretty well even in dense mixes, but I just thought the sound was extremely bland. Didn't do it for me.

How much does the plugin cost? Just buy a Lexicon or a Roland. Then you own it for real and it will sound better!! No plugins sound like hardware yet. I have tons of plugins. But use them as little as possible... Many times not at all. Waste of money that can be spent on classic hardware.

If ya want a cool reverb you won't find one as a plugin. If ya want a good compressor... Long story short.

Its $400. When I demo'ed it, my immediate thought was that it was fine as a kind of vanilla filler reverb but then I saw the price... For that price I could pick up yet another nice hardware unit and be much happier...

Totally agree with everyone.. Pretty boring and lacking 'size' (for lack of a better word).

The GUI looks pretty cool though.

one thing i noticed with the Breverb demo is minimal it's CPU requirements were. i was trying the CSR and Breverb next to each other...and although i thought the CSR sounded a little better, i was very impressed by Breverbs CPU performance. i could use it on every track without a problem on a G4.

Thanks for the replies! I've been waiting to buy Altiverb until I get an Intel Mac, and was hoping BReverb was all it claimed to be with a low CPU drain.
I must say, I respectfully disagree with the above post. I have a PCM42 ,PCM70, and had a PCM80. And although they're not Lexicons top of the line like the 300/480/960, they're considered pretty good. And I have to say that EchoBoy smokes my PCM42 on most things, and while I have a few sounds in my PCM70 that I like alot(mostly for guitar), I have to say that the UA Plate 140 sounds nicer to my ears for drums and vocals etc., and although I don't own Alti-Verb (yet), I have heard it and was very impressed. It's just too demanding for my poor little Dual 2G G5. Bummer.

well, i'm not that experienced with reverb...outboard or plugin. i'ved used the waves stuff, and some TC outboard stuff. and i thought the Breverb sounded nice. and when you factor in the extremely low CPU demand, it's a real winner in my opinion. i would purchase it myself, but the demo crashed DP when i tried to apply a "mono to stereo" Breverb to a mono track. i'm going to do an OSX re-install pretty soon, i'll try the demo again and see how it goes. if i can get it to run on DP without any problems, i'm going to buy it.

I also demoed the Breverb and I thought it was very, very good for what it is. I find that my powercore VSS3 is better (for what I want to hear).

If I was going for a native reverb I'd pick Breverb in a heartbeat. I have also tried the Sonnox one and whilst I love the EQ/Dyn stuff the verb didn't do it for me and I REALLY don't like the static tails of convolution reverbs.

To each his own and all that but I wouldn't dismiss the Breverb without hearing it first. You might possibly even want to do a search - it's been talked quite a lot about around here.

Hello Dick,
You have a dual G5? Altiverb was already doing well on a G4.
