Help Me Mic A Drum

Ok, I got:

Sm58
at2020
at2021 (same as at2020 but small diaphragm)
schoeps cmc3
heil pr-40

ya... I know, I need more, but I don't have the money yet.

I was thinking:

pr-40 on kick drum
sm58 with grill off for snare
schoeps as mono overhead
at2020 for the toms
and at2021 on hi hat?

or maybe make a stereo overhead with the at2021 and the schoeps

or is this not possible?...

alright. Thx. Do I have the right mics in the right places? *as a starting point, I know I will mess around with it, but I would just like to hear some opinions*

You're gonna use one 2020 for all the toms?

I'm hoping... lol it won't work... will it? It will atleast work for both racks though... I can prolly take an old radioshack $10 line level mic for the floor tom. Better than nothing? *Atleast better than Behringer...*

uhh
i dont think a 10 dollar radio shack mic is even going to beat behringer...

at that point, i'd simply replace the toms

Why not try a Recorderman setup with the AT2021 above the snare, the Schoeps over your right shoulder and the 2020 in front? With the Heil in the bassdrum and the SM58 on the snare, if at all needed.
Just a thought.

why not just go try things instead of wasting time here. no one can tell you whats gonna sound the best with those mics in your room. go play.
