Wrap yourself in tinfoil, run a brown egg on your head, learn to speak Venusian...they are coming...

I think it was ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US actually.

I haven't posted in months but decided I must make this correction.

I was summoned out of hiding.

What he say!!

If i had a dollar for everytime the power flickered this morning, i'd have a whole 5 dollars. I heard no less than 3 transformers blow today.

Then, this afternoon, i actually saw blue sparks come out of the light switch on the wall. Sure there was an electrical storm going on, but this is something i've NEVER seen before. Freakin' venus streaking across the quad(rant that the sun is in).

Are you serious that the Venus transit caused an "electrical storm"?

Does anyone have any weblinks?

No Just a plain old thunderstorm that was coincidentally the same day. Lightning bolt probably struck a nearby powerline, causing some arcing across the poles of the light switch.

Maybe Venus cutting across the sun's magnetic field caused a massive EMF at an extremely low frequency that caused transformers to react as if they had dc fed across them. I'm not sure if plush was kidding, but the power grid in my area was definitely a bit out of the ordinary most of the day. Let's turn the lights down really low and tell ghost stories

ya okay, I'll go first. When I joined gearsluts I was reading this converter thread and he was just bonkers over the Benchmark line. Every time that someone would bring up another peice of kit he would find a way that it somehow related to Benchmark conversion... At first I thought he was a Kitonian, but then as I've gotten to know him a little better I come to find out that he likes a lot of the same gear I'm into, not just benchmark...

Uhm, did you say Ghoost or Ghost?
