East West sample library question

I'm needing some good choirs for an upcoming project. I hate to drop $500 just on EWQL symphonic choirs and was wondering how good the choirs on EWQL Colossus are. I'm sure they're a fraction of what you get with Symphonic Choirs, but I just need good ooh's and aah's. Thanks for any input.

If you can find an old copy of Voices of the Apocalypse, that's a cheaper route. The choirs in Colossus are taken from that. Both choirs are nice and way more user friendly than the EWQLSO Choirs library.

the choirs in collosus suck, not very usable IMO. EW symphonic choirs is way way cool, however a pain in the butt to setup and an amazing resource hog, but, it can yeild some amazing results. If you are just using oohs and ahhs, much much simpler to use with symphonic choirs, and you get different ranges and solo voice options. Once you use wordbuilder, though a very very cool feature, it gets more complicated and hard to make it work, but when it does, its soo sweet.

if you can, i think choirs is worth it, and I can't wait for them to release their own player that will have wb inbedded, as of now, its separate program you have to run.
