| Should I change the tube in my mic? Hi all, I thought I should post more at gearslutz since it's my favorite forum, by a mile, to lurk in. I also thought the recent thread on depression war really great. It's so uplifting to see people come together and support each other like that. On to my question. I have a Karma K-58 tube mic and I think it's a touch too bright. If I replace it's tube with a different tube such as a Groove Tube 12AX7M, would I see a big benefit in tone and warmness? All my other mics are solid state and I don't have a lot of experience with tubes so any advice would be greatly appreciated.  |

| Thanks man. It looks like I should give it a try. Even if the results aren't all that great, it sounds like a fun experiment. |
