The National "Boxer", Radiohead's "In Rainbows" and Caribou "Andorra" are probably my top three. Lot of good stuff last year.

Battles - Mirrored (don't like all the music on it but the drumsound alone is very good. Now add the other instruments and its a killer sound!)

Can't think right off of an album standing out for 2007.
I listened to Patty Griffin quite often.
The stand out...song (to me) may be from The Beatles Love album "Blackbird/Yesterday". Man I love the sound of the guitar in "Yesterday".

+2 for worst recording of the year...Springsteen's "Magic"



...took out the last part from the post about Radiohead and Alison Krauss/Robert Plant albums...sounded rude after seeing it posted.
