| apogee ensemble Does any one know about using the ensemble as an a/d? it has 4 analog line inputs and 4 HIz inputs/4 mic pre's. Can i still use 8 outboard pre's into this unit, or should I just spend the extra and get the rosetta 800? |

| the ensemble only has 8 A/D converters. so if you use the 4 preamps, you only have 4 channels left. if you already have nice preamps, I'd say go rosetta800/symphony card. its more expensive, but it would probably do you more good. |

| You can turn the Ensembles own 4 pres off, thus giving you just 8 straight inputs that you can plug your pres into. |

The Ensemble has 8 A/D and 8 D/A converters 10 digital IO plus 2 x headphone. It's a lot cheaper than the Rosetta 800. nIC | |
