Where would you go in London?

Lets say you were to spend the next week in London.
Where would you go to check out the local music/recording scene?

Hypothetically of course :p

Well it's not music or recording I didn't get to check out that seen while I was there, but assuming you have to eat here is a suggestion....it's been about 5 years since I've been to London but there was a restaurant called Garlic and Shots in Soho that I would frequent, I liked it a lot. Hope it's still there. Needless to say if you don't like garlic, it ain't the place for you.

Cheers.

The market sucks! Pick pockets and kitschy trash...

Make sure you check out the record shops around Brick Lane, Rough Trade is also located there

Cool, didn't know the first two. Denmark St. is quite unique, one guitar shop beside the other, some great vintage stuff

Nothing to do with music...

The best view in London is from the National Gallery's steps, looking South

Spitafields market Sunday (trendy 30 somethings)
Camden Market Sat (alternative teenagers / 20 somethings)
Tayyabs - for tandoori lamb chops - and lentil / baby eggplant curry - dont get a Naan bread instead order a 'puri' Whitechapel area. New Tayyabs

And stock up on the condensed milk sweets on the way out..

Don't touch the record shops!!! They are mine!!!

Coming from Spain and living in Italy, I wondered at London record shops. The fact that every week the LPs cost one pound less is the best invention after the wheel... Mmm, after the vintage preamp!!!
