How do you organize your cables in your home/small studio

So at my little home studio I am getting really tired of the multitude of cabling I have going on (which is probably small compared to what some of you have), so I'm curious if anyone has come up with a good solution for managing these buggers. I'm sure cable ties would work fine but I'm curious if anyone has come up with anything else. If you have pictures that would be great!

Not sure exactly where your trouble lies, cables all across the floor?

For starters, get yourself a roll of 1/2-inch Velcro that you can cut into strips. That'll help a lot.

For storage, I found some shelf brackets at Lowe's that I can cleanly hang lots of cables on, and mounted them on the wall of the computer closet.

i'm about to recable my modest home project studio...

behind my racks (i have enough room to walk behind them, fortunately) the cables are getting insane...

grouping/velcro'ing cables works well, but usually only on ONE end.. ie: the 12 cables coming out of my audio interface can get bunched nice and tight, but by the time they spread out to the 12 pieces of gear in the studio they need to go to, they're all over the place again..

so one end can be neat and bound.. but the other ends are all over...

i'll let you know if i come up with anything workable... and will post photos if i'm happy with the results...!

Sorry, should have been more specific, meant the ones going to the backs of racks and to the computers and peripherals and stuff. I know the simple solutions like velcro ties and stuff but I'm just wondering if anyone has found something more than the obvious.

I have a fairly simple setup, just a rack with a few pieces for now (that'll be changing in the next few months) and the Mac Pro, but between the peripherals for the computer, my keyboards, guitars, mics and cables going to the rack its getting a little messy.
