My new hero is Tal Wilkenfeld, now touring with Jeff Beck.

High respect and well deserved. Hotness in so many ways!

I saw her on PBS the other night. Holy Shit! Ya gotta love a 21 or 22 year old kicking Jeff Beck and Vinny Colaiuta in the ass!

Here's an even better look at what he's doing:

YouTube - VINCE NEIL DR.FEELGOOD Good quality!!!

Just sick.

And I wouldn't say that Tal is "kicking Vinnie Colaiuta in the ass". Really impressive, yes, but in many ways Vinnie's laid-back playing there is more amazing than even Zoltan's in this link.

He reminds me of a slow motion version of Keith Moon.

I agree. I don't think anyone is kicking anyone's ass here. It's just a great example of a fantastic band playing like a band, everyone feeding off of everyone else.

I've opened up for Vince a couple of times and Zoltan is absolutely amazing.
Not only is he the most entertaining drummer in the business, he's also spot on with his timing and groove.
If you haven't seen him play, do yourself a favor and check him out. You will be astounded.
On a much more important and personal note, he's an extremely spiritual guy, and probably the nicest human being you'll ever meet...

I didn't mean Tal was kicking Vinnie's and Jeff's ass in that her playing was better. What I meant was that they were really into her playing, like when they hear her play they might react "that solo kicked my ass!" Beck is watching her and almost giggling with musical glee.

I didn't even know VC was playing with JB I thought that's a great combo then I saw Tal playing and just thought "BONUS!"

You can see Jeff Beck is keying down his playing to show her off.

He's done plenty of rockin to prove his worth.

That smile says it all and he's diggin it.

Not only is she fantastic but the heart shows too.

These people love what they're doing and it shows.

Get in line!

I like the way she plays hard and then settles right back into the groove.

Is this the same Zoltan that used to live in Charlotte, NC? Looks an awful lot like him. I heard stories about that guy before I actually saw him and I totally didn't believe them. If this is the same guy, I've actually seen him hold down a groove with a tennis racquet and tennis balls on a drumkit! I hope it's him. It's great to see him finally get a cool gig.

I just watchd the Crossroads DVD, and I was really impressed by that girl. Before their set there was a shot of the band walking to the stage and I thought "cool, Jeff Beck brought his daughter or something".... but it was his bassist and she was great!

Cool footage of Zoltan - that guy is entertaining for sure. And what a name!

Check out her record Transformation AbstractLogix :: Guitar :: Tal Wilkenfeld - Transformation w/Wayne Krantz, Seamus Blake, Keith Carlock

It's as good as anything I've ever heard. I don't know how someone that young has picked up so much groove and recognition for the past masters. If this girl doesn't take the jazz scene by storm, then there is no justice.

And she's dead sexy as a bonus
