| Combining different diffusors. Does it work? If someone wanted to combine two different types of diffusors to, let's say, benefit from what they both offer, would it make any sense at all? For example, if the rear wall was covered with the RealTraps diffusors and the GIK diffusors, would it provide any better results? |

| If the area that you are covering is large enough, then yes. When you line up a row of diffusers that are the same, you start to get some lobing issues from the repetition. With a diffuser that is not exactly symmetrical, you can flip some of them. With the D1 for example, you would put the side with two rounded columns on the right for some of them and then the side with only one rounded column on the right for some of the others. (I'll try to post a pic later). You could then alternate these two orientations for a small array (4 or so in a row). For larger arrays you would want to use something like the barker code. For an array that is 7 long it would be: +1 +1 +1 −1 −1 +1 −1. One orientation would be +1 and the "flipped" diffuser would be -1. It doesn't matter which is which as long as they are opposite. Also, another option is to arrange them in a "checkerboard" pattern in which one diffuser is hung with the columns vertically and the next one (and the one below it) is hung with the columns horizontally.
