Unidyne III 545SD vs the vintage 545

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew if the Unidyne III 545SD that shure make now is the same as the old 545 they made back in the 60s?

thats the current one:
Shure - Wired Microphones - 545SD Dual Impedance Unidirectional Microphone

does anyone know how they differ at all?

I don't know much, but I do know that the old 545s were made in the USA. For the last decade or more, they are made in Mexico.

FWIW, I have a Mexican 545 and it sounds good to my ears, even for some vocals.
