| Pulsar II, how are they? Hello - I was looking at the M-Audio Pulsar II mics to use for instruments and as overheads. Has anyone tried them? ANy comments? Thanks,

| They sound like a KM184 with a little less in the upper register and a little less in the lower register. |

| i think they are really excellent mics for the money. they're very smooth on drum OH! i haven't been able to make them sound harsh yet. i'm very impressed with these mics for the $$, but i haven't compared them directly to KM184 or other mics costing much, much more. definitely worth checking out, though. |

| Love 'em! I have a matched pair and they sound great to me. Fine for overheads, hi hat, strummy acoustic guitars. I have not tried them on anything else yet. Being a home studio guy at present, I had the chance to check them at Ronnie's Place in Nashville through the Neve console pres during the John Oates tracking sessions last week. The famous acoustic-music specialist engineer gave them a "B", when compared to the Sanken and Mercenary 69 mics he had up for the session. For my budget, they are exceptional.
