Maybe Jules can install a language translator here. I use them to read foreign newspapers. Sometimes the translations are funny, semantics and all.

Mexico has great people ,beautiful country.
(I lived in rosa rita off and on)

it seems to me all your high skilled labor is in the us
highly motivated workers
honestly if mexicans focused on building their own country
it would be one nice place to live

really, why would you take away an event like the Latin Grammies
away from the people of Mexico

Because entries come from all over the world, not just Mexico. Miami is a natural location for these awards. As for Mexico, it's not the people, it's the government and it's corruption that's holding back development.
Viva la revolution!

long live your shoes my friend

If you think about it, if Mexicans here in America moved back to Mexico

the Mexican government would be happy with all the new trades from
all the nice people

there fore building a new Mexican economy

what government would not be happy about that

1. The Latin Grammys are put together by L.A.R.A.S.(a spin-off of N.A.R.A.S.) an American organization. The first few years it actually aired on prime-time anglo TV
2. Latin music comes from all over the world NOT just Mexico.
3. Many award shows have been held in LV the last couple of years. Seems like as good a place as any for an award show.
4. There is a very large Latin community in LV.
5. The Latin Grammys have been in Miami already, and LA as well.

After 70+ years of one party rule, what other choice do the people have? Sure, they voted in a couple of PAN Presidente's, but the ruling class there has a grip on the population they don't intend to let go of anytime soon. Carlos Slim is now the richest man in the world, that shouldn't happen in a country this size. With a two tiered social system, haves and have not's, the middle class in Mexico is paying the price for the oligarchy. The poor vote with their feet and enter the US illegally. Our Presidente Jorge Bush is equally responsible for this, he encourages it.

Take a vacation in Nuevo Laredo some time. Go up to a cop there at night and ask for some help. Good luck if you don't get jacked or worse. Hunderds of murders there in the last few years including many American citizens remain unsolved. The drug cartels run the cops and polls there. It is anarchy waiting for revolution. As long as the ruling class in Mexico keep blaiming the US for their problems, they will never face or solve these problems. It's now up to the people to take their country back.

Sooner the better.

Latin music is a very broad term and there's probably a better definition out there, but I'll take a crack at it.

Music having one or more of the falowing elements.
Music created in Latin American countries and/or with latin music instrumentation and/or in Latin American languages (i.e Spanish, Brazilian Portugues).

Latina

My wife is Italian. She is an incredible Salsa dancer but has given up because I have two left feet and she wouldn't want to dance with another man.

That is what I call love. I feel privileged.

Latin music is so happy and Italian music so melodic.

And talking about latin acts, last night I saw "Soda Stereo" at Mexico's "Foro Sol" with a crowd of 52 000 people!! (and this was their second night here, so almost 104000 people have paid to see them here in Mexico city!!).
For me this guys are by far, the best latin rock band ever. I by "Latin" I mean "spanish language" because their music is sofisticated, elegant, powerfull, rich. What a band!!

Best regards.
