| Mac Pro 8 Processor with Pro Tools LE vs. HD on single processor I want to upgrade my Pro Tools LE system that currently runs on a single processor (Windows box P3-500 2Gb Ram), and consistently errors out due to processor limitations. I'm looking at getting an 8 Processor Mac Pro and running Pro Tools LE, but I'm wondering if I'd be better off stretching for an HD systems, but running it on my existing Windows box. (Personally I've found Pro Tools to be buggy on Windows, and prefer the stability of the Mac.) Anybody have any insight on Pro Tools HD vs. an 8 processor box running LE? Will HD still blow it away? Will 6 or 8 Processors just sit idle? |
