Need a Mic for: Stereo OH and Stereo Acoustic

Need to find a stereo mic or stereo pair of microphones that would be able to capture a good overhead and a good acoustic acoustic track.

Would like to spend around $600.

Any thoughts?

You want to try the Cascade microphones X-15. It's a stereo ribbon. I use mine on overheads all the time and it sounds great. I believe you can get it around $500.

I just got a pair of Joesephson C42's and they work great for overs and acoustic I just used them the past few days for those exact purposes. I think they're around $900 a pair though maybe try and find some used.

i just got a stereo pair of beyerdynamic MC 930's. they're more like $900, but they rock as overheads.

i've heard good things about the AT - Pro 37's

big fan of the octava´s here
they are the cheaper than the beyer, schoeps etc.
do a search for SDC comparisson, here on gs... some guy posted guitar and drums with the beyer, schoeps and de octava 012´s...

i´ve used the 012´s for years and years... great!!!

Cool

+1 for the Octavia s
I'd love to try out those Josephsons...

On the cheap,
I find Se2200's really good for the applications you mentioned.
Particularly as over heads in small rooms.

Welcome to sE Electronics

That's under budget too, I think.
