RNLA knob replacement?

Hi

I just my self a secondhand Fmr RNLA. Fantastic unit!
However the gain knob is a bit loose. Does anyone know how to get the plastic knob off because i think its just a matter of tightening the screw on the front panel behinb the knob. I thought that i should just pull the knob outwards but it doesnt seem to move. Maybe i just need to pull really hard...?

So has anyone ever taken the knobs off their RNLA?

Crap. I got it open but the potentiometers are just soldered to the pcb.
It's the potentiometer itself thats abit wiggly. Guess i just have to live with it.
