| Lives for gear | Three FF800 ?
I'm arranging a recording studio. I've got a 24 channel console and need 24 channels of I/O on the computer. Can fireface 800 drivers support up to three units ? Any other solutions ? Thanks! |

I think they support up to 4 actually, but firewire bandwidth can get tricky... It might be a better idea to look at something like the SSL AlphaLink convertors, combined with a Mixpander PCI card or an RME HDSP9652 or RME MADI card.

I didn't know the Alphalink, it seems pretty cool anyway! How's the quality of the convertors compared to RME ?
