Saje Odyssey, any good?

Hello,

I will be mixing next week in a studio with a PT HD3/ D-command, good outboards, and a Saje Odyssey (12 channels).

It's a female singer album, music is a kind of jazz/bossa/brasilian stuff.

I will not have very much time to experiment, as I have only two days to mix the whole album.

I was planning to use the Saje odyssey as a summing mixer.

Is it a good idea?

thanks.

Saje Odyssej is a french desk with 3-band swept EQ and fully parametric mids. Its quite old already and it contains a bunch of ICs all over - and if I remember right, they are just standard stuff, nothing better. I've worked with the desk for about 2 years (but at least 10 years ago). I'm not sure, that it will be a very good idea to use it for summing, as there are many parts between input and output that may affect your sound. Hope that helps...
