| price range? Could answer anything from the Specks at $450 each to the Massive Passive or GML in the $4-5000 range each. As far as supplementing channel strips types, probably the Speck on up to the API. The API would probably be ideal, and run about $1k each channel.

| Opinions on the Speck EQs? I to am in the market for some outboard EQs, but my monitary limitations would prevent anything beyond $1k/unit. The price of the Specks is very attractive considering I could grab 2 for the price of one API. Thanks. |

| The Speck Model ASC is a good EQ. It's a tad musical and very well made. |

| There has been plenty of good vibes from Speck users. Some folks I see like the transformer units best, but I have seen some pretty in-the-know replies here say they liked the non-transformer unit better. Perhaps buy both from Fletcher and return the one you do not care for most?

| Just buy the transformer version because I believe it has both outputs -- transformer and non-transformer. then if you think the non trans version is your cup o tea, return to Mercenary for a swap.

| DBX 242. (major sleeper) Runs around $100 used. Can be modded for further enhancement. Sounds excellent as-is though. Used for major label work at Harvey Gerst's studio. Chris |

| Aloha...no one has asked what console you have...the EQ's you would choose are different depending if you have a Neve/SSL/Mackie/Trident/MCI/ et al

| The console is a 28 channel Biamp Legend. The eq's sound nice but are very basic in operation. We also have a Peavey AMR 2400 but that one is for sale. |
