headphone monitoring setups

just curious to hear how others are set up regarding headphone monitoring.

I'm currently using a board to receive signal post pres and compression, sending to headphones via auxes and sending to record inputs via channel outs. Mostly I am using this to avoid latency monitoring through the DAW and to keep adjustments at arms reach if musician's need a tweak in their mix.

can I get some descriptions of alternate methods anyone is using?
