PZM Mic to record group interview

I record a podcast between a couple of friends - we currently use 4x Audiotechnica AT2020 mics and monitor ourselves with headphones (with a MOTU 8Pre). We use a quiet room (almost no ambient noise), but it's an office, not a studio.

I'm interested if there's a PZM mic that will do a good job, so we can be more relaxed, and not have to worry about monitoring whilst recording, or having to talk into the mic directly to get good sound.

Or am I being silly and should just stick with the AT2020's? :p

If you sit around a table, just about any PZM is perfect. There are permanently mounted types that get used for video conferencing and school board meetings all the time.

But watch out not to hold your paper sheets between you and the microphone. It's best (if possible) to leave them flat on the table.
