triggering samples from drums

what software/hardware would you recommend to trigger drum samples from an electronic drum kit? How do i do it and where do i find cool drum samples from>?

A lot to ask, i know. But thats what this place is for right?

If you have an electronic drum kit, use midi. Midi out from your kit, midi in to your sampler or sound module and there you go.

There are thousands of drum sample cds out there. What you should get depends on your format. Do you have a sampler?

Need to know more about your set up to answer with specifics.
