Thread Starter | Yamaha 02r help needed
Hi Just bought a Yamaha 02r complete with 4x AES/EBU single slot Digital format cards........ My soundcard is a MOTU 2408 which doesnt support this format... Is there anyway i can use these cards....? Or would i be better off selling them and buying either Adat or Tdif cards for the 02r... Regards Paul |

You could keep one, sell three and put that money to three ADAT or TDIF cards AND a MOTU 308. The 308 has 8 AES ins. I imagine you'd have to come out of your pocket a bit. |

Any format convertor would cost you more than the cards themselves, so it's probably not worth going down that road. In your position I would put three of my AES cards up for trade or sale. I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding the Yamaha CD8AT (ADAT) cards in the classifieds... they were the most common digital card (and also the cheapest).
