NYC slutz - HELP! Accommodation advice please(November)

Can any kind soul chip in with some ideas?

My (Spanish speaking) bass player is coming to NYC 1st Nov til 11th (actually he does speak English too).

His travelling partners have unfortunately been refused visa, so shared accommodation idea is out the window, and now its just him!

Can anyone suggest a decent cheap place to stay in/near/with easy access to Manhatten?

Or perhaps someome's got a spare room? He's obviously willing to pay for board and lodging

Hes a bit of a rock n roll dude, but at the same time, quite civilised for a bass player

What I mean is he's on a tight budget but doesn't want to stay in a flea-pit... you know what I'm saying!

If ANYONE can help I'd be much obliged if you could pm me or feel free to post some ideas here.

Thanks for any help you can give

What's the price range he is trying to stay in?

When we were on tour going through NYC we stayed at the Super 8 manhattan. It's not a luxury place... But it's clean and has decent accomodations... Not a roach motel by any means...During the week we payed $150 and weekends we payed $240.. Thats with tac included.

I have some recommendations for a little nicer accomodations... But for a budget, you aren't going to find a better place in manhattan
