A VSTi for Trumpets and Brass?

I need something I can play - not loops - that I can use to make some salsa-hip hop fusion. Is there anything good that sounds decently realistic? Anyone use Ueberschall Liquid Trumpets?

Chris Hein horns is pretty great for brass. Loads up in Kontakt and you have control over fall offs, swells, trills, etc.

Garrison Personal Orchestra isn't bad... although i don't know how good it is for non classical sounds.

Brass sounds

I use BRASS from Arturia. It's actually modeling, not sampleing, and that's maybe its strongest aspect. It's the best thing that I've found out there. You can also use a breath controler to get even more natural performances (swells, attacks, etc.). It does a Trompet and Trombone well, I not excited about the sax though. I use Candy from yellow Tools for that.

Good luck

Hey k-line! thanks for choosing us for the live brass at the end
I guess real brass trumps all these plugins...

How about using that plug in money to hire some real brass players that will give you exactly what you want in a shorter amount of time and sound better doing it?

Just a thought....

Cool! thumbsup I didn't see your post....

I haven't heard a plugin yet that can do justice to a trumpet. Too many audible variables in the timbre of the trumpet that make any succession of trumpet samples stick out like a sore thumb.
