The rack shelf for the Lucid 9624 series converters sells for $39.99 and the blank 1/2 panel sells for $69.99. Thats $110 for a shelf!!!

I'll probably just end up buying a $15 generic rack shelf unless there is someone out there that makes a 1U rack shelf for 1/2U pieces that covers the unused half space with a filler. The coolest would be if the cutout for the 1/2U piece is in the center and there is black on either side. Anybody know of anything like this???

I think Extron and Parasound make something like what you describe...but they're not any cheaper.

The Lucid shelf is well worth the price. Very thick metal with nice paint and fits the Lucid units perfectly (unlike the generic units).

The filler panel is a little steep though but HEY! What's the deal? You planning on never buying and equpment again or somethin'???! Fill the space with something cool and useful!

or, you could get a nice peice of hard wood the size of the empty space and finish the exposed end to furniture like quality and screw it in etc.
