Does anybody have any experience with the Forssell CS-1 channel strip?

Fred Forssell's gear is 'Top Shelf' in every way!. He was the original designer of the Millenia range of gear and you should read his website ofr more info on what exactly he has designed.

I looked into his gear last year for my studio and was about to ship some in this yr but since i am selling my gear i decided against it further... much my gearslutz muse's disaproval!tut ...

Suffice to say... Fred is a great person to deal with from the limtied contact i have had with him and is more than happy to field questions about his gear... I think fletcher used to sell it as well.. so perhaps he will have something to say!? i know that from the few people that i know who have one of his CS-1's they are in love with them and rave continually about them..

PEACE
Wiggy

Fred does offer several different modules for the Sony MXP3000 series. Not sure if he does other mods or not. Check out his site reference above.

And so is Fred himself, he's one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys in the industry I've ever had the pleasure to speak with.

I'll go along with every one else - I got to play with a prototype a couple of years ago, and liked it a bunch. Is it in productio yet?

Fred is a great guy and his designs are stellar. I remember his micpreamp sounded especially nice at Fletcher's Boston Pre Party. Fred is wonderful to work with too. He's done some digital boards designs for us in the past and they always were very well engineered and very analog/natural sounding. Actually we're doing another run of his 24/96 DAC boards in our HIFI WAVE DAC/Preamp right now.

The only bad thing about Fred is there is only one of him!

When's the next scuba trip?
