Shed of your dreams

Make sure you find time to stop by the "SSL Shed of your dreams"...

It'll make you wish you're a lottery winner

Plus bring some tissues - you'll be drooling when you see the size of the Duality we have there.

Looking forward to meeting a few of you and putting names to faces!

I'll take some pictures at the show tomorrow and try and post them up tomorrow evening - unless someone beats me to it!

I was just stunned by the fact that SSL and Auralex foam would be in the same room (that's not a GC).

Jim@SSL: You NEED Bill Bailey's endorsement on this product.

I would love his endorsement. I used to sell some kit to him back in the day when I was at a retail store in London.

If you see him, say that I have an otter waiting to close the deal!

I gotta say, it's a SWEET little place to mix. I'm saving my hundred thousands right now and pouring the concrete slab. The hardest part of it is--- you buy it thru Guitar Center.

Those Sheds are under $17,000 pre assembled including freight (+windows) so even tricked out with windows and electrical its about $20,000. I wonder how the other $230,000 breaks down.

Rocio Romero, modern design and prefab architecture or like this m-house, the contemporary house or office, on wheels or afloat
Actually...I think one of those is the Neve shed and the other is API.

it looks cool, and certainly smells good in there, but it seems like there's a whole lot that just wouldn't work about it, like the complete lack of insulation on the walls... the guitars in there probably stay in tune in the javitts center, but outside covered in snow?

Wow all I need is a back yard!

Still better than house in Chipppie, although you would need chippies to build it (english term for woodworker)

If Neve has one would it be made in China?

Hi Jim,

Love the idea. Just wouldn't work here for me in Taiwan!

1. Backyards are a luxury!

2. We just had a typhoon this weekend that reached wind speeds of up to 183km/h. So, I'd have to be sleeping on the AWS+ to keep it from blowing away. The rest of the shed would most likely get blown to mainland China...

Anyway, I'm happy with my Duende. Am just holding of with installing the new Update... Am looking forward to getting my paws on the EQ!

How's about a competition/contest with a "Shed of your Dreams" as a 1st prize? If I win, I'll even let you keep the Shed. Just send me the Dreams!

Anton

Yeah, but the idea of being able to buy Peter Gabriel's mix space just hits all of us in a certain special place...our hearts, and then, realistically, in our wallets.

Peter used the shed at Real World as a writing space. If you want PG's "mix space" you are going to have to get Guitar Center Pro to hook you up with one of these...

The shed is interesting...

I grabbed a cut sheet & and it made several rounds at the Avatar party on Friday night... I lost track of it somewhere along the way...

Some people thought it was a joke & were shocked to see it wasn't. Most thought that it was the ultimate removal of the "pro" from pro-audio. More like "pro-sumer" as nobody making records would actually spend $250k on a tiny 12x20 shed with an AWS & Auralex. It's a doctor & lawyer product etc... whos going to run it for them?

It doesn't even have an iso booth correct?

Brilliant marketing move I think..?

But also, rather sad to see what the 'industry' has turned to...
