| Broadband traps: Will this do? Ok Owens Cornings or other fibreglass brands are apparently price-prohibitive where I live. The distributor recommended Rockwool (he also distributes OC), so I asked him for some NRC specs. How's the performance based on the chart attached? Is it suitable to use for my DIY traps? From what I compare to other materials listed in the Bob Golds site, it is pretty alright. This one is 100kg/m3 density, they have even denser ones. Is it true "Denser = better absorption" or do I have to look at the chart to know? They also have a type with "aluminium foil face" on one side. Is this equivalent to the FRK type for OC703 which I read absorbs better than the plain unfaced type? For FRK type I read it is better to face the foil side "into the room" for better low frequency absorption (at the risk of high frequency reflection). Do I understand "into the room" correctly in that the foil side is facing the opposite wall (not the wall it is mounted on)? Thanks for any help ![]()
