Am curious as to what your favorite (500 series) room mic pre choice is... as of late?

Wouldn't it completely depend on the room, the mic, where the mics are in the room, the drums, the drummer, the song, the song style, the sound you want, etc...?

I prefer to use any high quality transformed coupled mic preamp on hand. They all get the job done just fine. I think the tone of the room has way more of an impact on the end result than the mic preamp. That was ultra obvious huh?
