not really a comparable match. The ISA series sounds much better than the platinum series.

ISA

But I also might chose John Hardy M-1 or API or something else, depending on the types of music you're recording and what mics you're running.

Why choose either of those? There are many other preamps I'd choose before the ISA, and even more I'd choose before I used the Platinum series preamps.

Bingo...I gotta lot of free time right now.

Tomorrow I leave to Orlando for 12 days then when I get back I'll be busy for a while....till who know's when. So my posting streak is over.

I should be doing something more creative...but I learn a lot here......

no no no no no no platinum series.

Now many times do I have to post this critical information. If you can't take my word as pure, unfiltered gospel, then what do you really have left in the world?

I'll restate it for the analytically impaired. The Platinum Series is a festering piece of maggot riddled dog excrement sitting on a hot sidewalk in the most God-Forsaken corner of Beruit circa 1986.

Don't go there.

Tunes.
