LINN DRUM

i recently purhcased a linn drum machine and i am baffled by how low the output level is ...is this normal for this machine from back in the day or might there be some other issue...do i need to run it through a mic pre

I still have the one I bought back when the LM-2 came out. The output is actually quite hot for line level both at the summing (L/R) output as well as the individuals. You may want to have it checked out. Oh that 8-bit sound

just a quick one -

if you plug a stereo jack into the mono out of a linn drum you may get a low output
