The Fall of Troy- New CD

Wow......so i bought this awhile ago, and i can't believe how horrid the mixing is on that album.........how did that even get released!?

compared to the last album this is about ten times worse mixing wise

Wonderful music, but the engineer just blew it.

Ok, so If you haven't heard the cd, go to itunes and at least preview it. It's rediculous. at times it's like there is no such thing as compression with the vocals.......

The cd is called manipulator

Personally im not digging it, but my friends insist on me listening to it more, because itll grow on me apparntly. The producing is exactly what put me off to be honest, the band rocks. Its not "bad" production or anything, is just very experimental, and Matt is renowned for trying new experimental tones in his records.

I think it sounds terrible.

Why they chose to put it out that way is beyond me.

It sounds like a cheap demo.

For a band trying to be The Mars Volta, you would think they'd have wanted to copy their production stylings too.

Lol, obviously you havent heard very much from Fall of Troy to make a proper decision. They have a few similarities but come from 2 different paths. I am a fan of both bands, but much prefer the Fall of Troy's 1st and 2nd release to Mars Volta albums, and thats not because im musically ********, i just prefer Fall of Troy's sound better. I insist, listen to any Fall of Troy song, then play Mars Volta straight after.
