AES NY Oct 5-8 2007, who is going?

I just booked my room at the Milford Hotel through AES. I thought I'd start a thread simply figuring out who all is coming from here.

Jules, do you have a booth this year?

Is there a Gearslut party planned yet?

The label asked me why I thought early October would be a good time to run up to NY to master their record. Hmmm...call me 90%.

The Seaside Lounge has interns? Huh. Learn something new everyday. I always imagined they were too low-key for that, but I guess they do have two rooms and a lotta shtuff.

Nice guys, great space. Good luck.

See you there. I always go... unless I have a session.

We have been invited to return, in our non-official capacity (NOC) of reviewing prototypes which are actually empty boxes that are not passing audio.

But only on the condition that generous amounts of wine and beer are made available, in order to tune our senses to accurately deduce the integrity of such prototypes.

We also trust Tony Belmont will be standing nearby with a baseball bat, in case things get out of hand.

(Tony, if you don't feel like carrying a bat from Boston, I'll be happy to stop by the Yankees clubhouse on the way to Javitz, and steal one for you.)

Good luck with that - they're 525 lbs...per speaker.

We're bringing the big ass 21" sub as well. I predict potential trouble with the AES sound police.

I'll be there with SSL showing off the new version of the CRC furniture and our new patchbay called the AudioLot Mixbay. All of the XLogic products will be hooked up to those pieces so you can come say hi and see them in action.

Every day I come so close to leaving this insane, overpriced city where I live in a shoebox and struggle day and night to barely scratch by . Yes, I'm close to friends and family, blah blah blah, the real reason I haven't left this f-ed up city yet.....an easy subway ride to AES. I'll be there.

I'm there 100%. As I'm right in Manhattan. If anyone needs information on where to stay, what trains to take, places to eat, let me know. Now, where can I get a ticket.

Got my reservations at the Milford a couple of weeks ago so count me in! Usually about a dozen of us from a studio I work at in Ft. Myers all go together so it should be a blast.
