As a company, they suck giant dog weenie. And their "leader" killed a couple of great bay area clubs when he bought them.

Again, with feeling, fuuck Nady!

ribbon info

None of the current ribbon manufacturers seem to boast about the magnet size in their mics, (except maybe Coles). Ever pick up an old RCA ribbon mic, (77, 74, 44, KU3A or KU2A), and notice that the majority of the weight is the magnet, (not to mention the man-size body and screen containing it.
My vote says, "Get the real thing, because they sure don't make 'em like they used to make 'em ... hence they don't sound like they used to sound!"
The investment in a real mic is well worth the end result.

Hmmm, a Nady Ribbon for an MSRP of $450 US. (Street price probably less) This may signal yet another new trend for the knock-offs, only this time, they will take aim at the ribbon mics.

Of course, figuring out if any of them are any good, or at least useful, will present a challenge.
