Another question to the Microphone / vocal booth pros! PICTURE inside!

My vocal booth works pretty well. But today I went from having one single MIC and 1 SE reflection filter to putting in the 2nd one I have.

My idea is to have two mics and 2 SE filters at the same time, so I can easily switch mic when the singer is inside. When I have one mic and filter only - I need to remove the shockmount + mic + cables - then attach the next one.. Etc.. This would make my life easier... Simply by asking him/her to switch mic..

I liked the sound when I had one filter right in the middle of the 2 ones in the picture. So Im a bit concerned I will get a slightly diffirent sound now that I moved them a lil bit to each side.. But hopefully wont be a problem.

now on to my question: do you think using 2 SE filters side by side like that will "colour" the sound in any way?

The booth is pretty "dead" and silent as it is.. And the 2 units are not touching eachother - just sitting there side by side. Need to setup the cables and wires, etc before going ahead with this.. Thought I would ask the good folks here first..

What do you think? Is this a good or bad idea?

If your vocal booth is "dead"

Why have the filters at all ??

If you think you still need one ...just use 1 and have on mic upside dowm and the other right side up sitting on top of each other....

And just record both mics and decide through the session which one sounds better...this saves time and the client will appreciate it...

Sometime I use one mic for the compression and the other mic dry and as a send to reverb..etc... and blend them together...some times it may not work as
tiny changes in distance of each mic can have noticable effects...

and if the singer moves round a lot you can have a bit of phasing BUT have the mics as close as you can to eachother...and this will minimise it....
