the bar / sink/ counter is in. The tile back-splash and trim is next.

Remember the white wall at the beginning of the thread? Here it is now....

WOW, what a change.

Judged by the pics posted here looks like an ordinary basement home-studio has magically transformed into a Pro facility. Even when appears to be less gear/toys now than before.

Great client-oriented interiour design, attention to detail and positive attitude is everything. I'd rather track in your place even if you just had an mbox than in someone's garage loaded with a full 9000J. Congratulations.

I'm in love with the look of your control room. Very nice sense of style - classy looking room you got there.

Thank you to all. Seriously, it feels really good to hear it.
A lot of work has gone into this. When it is all done, I will be happy. If any Gearslutz out there want to use the place with it's Chandler and Great River and DW and so on, it's yours for $150 a day (and yes you can still raid the fridge).

I will post pics when it is all done! The dual leather recliner in the lounge just came in the other day. Kick back and watch HDTV. I never want to leave.

The transformation is unbelieveable - it looks like a truly great place to work, and it's in your BASEMENT!!! Nice job!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Looking at the pictures the place looks really cool, but you really need to get some of the panels straddling corners in the control room and live room. If you would like to send me some more pictures of your room (I will not try to sell you stuff ) I can see what you have going on. You have put a lot of time and money into this project so you might want to make sure the rooms are right.

Great job on all the other things though!!!

Glenn

Vocal booth?? Looks a bit lively to me... might want to add some treatment. The mic is mounted way too high... and the vocal gain knob is a bit of an overkill

That Argosy desk looks great - adds a very profesional feel to your place. Someday when I have some more space that I can dediate to recording i'm gonna have to get one!

Looks great!

Thanks everyone!!!

To answer questions...

I am in PA. Harrisburg. If you want to use it, let me know.

The $46,000 (ended up being a bit over $47,000) went to the wood flooring, tile, cabinets, bathroom, independent air-conditioning in rooms, furniture, and about $11,000 in gear upgrades (instruments, mic pre's, comps, etc)

The wood flooring was a close-out deal at a local place. They had a limited amount and sold it to me for $3.80 sq. ft. I have seen laminate more expensive than that!!

I will post *real* pics when it is all done!!

I love the atmosphere the lighting creates. If I ever do a studio setup in my home it would probably be very similar to that. Good job!

hey, very nice job there, ID!

you've created a space that looks like it's real comfy to work in, and has a special vibe....
most people don't focus on those things enough for their spaces...

nice work, man...congrats!...
