Opinions wanted:

Given the choice, would you prefer:

1) A dual mono compressor with limiter

2) A stereo only compressor with limiter

3) A dual mono / stereo linkable compressor w/o limiter

Any and all input appreciated.

Thanks

dual mono/linkable. Why not! It's the best of all worlds.

GML 8900..

Warhead,
not to insult your intelligence but a limiter is a compressor with a 8:1 ratio or higher. Most compressors can easily accomplish this. Limiters are designed with a minimum amount of controls because they don't them and compressors are quite variable in their parameters.

A separate limiter before output is what I meant, a completely different circuit after the compressor section.

Nice choice on the GML by the way...

Thanks

Definitely 3 or better yet #4(the Focusrite Blue 230 which is #3 with a limiter).
