Pete Cornish Effects Board (Tears for Fears)

I just got Roland Orzabal (Tears for Fears)
custom built Guitar Effects Board built by PETE CORNISH in 1983.
It is in good condition.

I dont know anything about Pete Cornish, any info?
Is this a valuable item?

I will post pics if there is interest in seeing it.

I'd post what it does, post some pictures, and see what people offer. Cornish stuff can be really expensive bought new. I'm not sure about the setup you're talking about or what it does. Need more info.

Both their names are on it and the serial number is 099.

It is from Tears for fears's old studio so i know it is genuine.

Cornish gear is highly prized and very expensive! Custom switchers and Pedals all used by pros such as Gilmour, Sting, McCartney etc.

Post that thing over here..... http://63.151.115.106/board/forumdis...p?s=&forumid=4

and wait for the fireworks to begin.

That's a great guitar gearhead site and those guys know a lot about Cornish stuff- and if you decide to sell you'll probably find a buyer there too!

one of my clients uses one of these. It's _very_reliable and ideal for road use and standing meanicingly on, but it is basically kind of some boss effects racked up with bigger ass footswitches and a psu..

I have had it checked over by a Chartered Electrical Engineer here are his comments.

" Construction quality is very high, all wiring loomed and held down. Components on boards are restrained to withstand vibration / shock. Despite being 20 years old the case, components are wiring are in sound condition - some surface corrosion due to damp storage conditions - however the electrical operation was verified. Two of the 27v indicator lamps are blown (easy to replace possibly using spares on the board) one of the footswitches works but sticks (maybe fixed with cleaning or swapped with spare on the board). Noise reduction techniques in the design and construction are as good as I have seen - the unit is almost noiseless producing a clear clean sound from each module working together or seperately - it is easy to understand why P Cornish's designs have been so highly regarded - a pleasure to see such carefully designed and built equipment."

Now comes with power cable.

It works and sounds amazing.
Having listened to it I am struggling to bring myself to sell.
