Alright all. Official update time !

Originally I gave the first song to Teacher, Edyar and Jack (rapping, drums, and bass) I also gave a couple of the guitar players I ran into the chat room the riffs around that time.(Studjo, 5up1down) I also gave a copy to Doc and Digit.

Teacher ended up requesting something else to work with so I gave him something else that he ended up doing some stuff with.

I was trying to get 2leod a copy but him and a couple other people involved here were having trouble receiving emails of that size so we had to resort to other methods. I had thought he had received it for a while and I was giving him some time to come up with some stuff but a week or 2 later i emailed him again and it turned out he never got it. He just had a grandson and had also went on a trip and is also building a vocal booth so he really had no chance to come up with anything. (sorry if I`m getting to personal here 2leod)

I also had some problems getting DHughes the MP3 but now he has it and I think he`s going to add some percussion instruments like steel drum or Xlophone or something.

I also gave a copy to Henry in this time but in my haste to get the email out I neglected to give him the proper instructions. He ended up writing some stuff thinking what I had given him was the real structure to the song when what I had really intended to give everybody was just a kind of a scratch pad with the riffs on it. It was supposed to be something to tide everybody over until the vocalists came up with some stuff whch usually ends up changing the way the song goes a bit.

Henry (because of the above mentioned crappy instructions) had no idea there was even going to be any vocals on it and suggested we do an instrumental version also. I think that would be cool and would allow us to stretch out a bit. It would also allow us to hear Henrys stuff if he would still be willing to participate because he`s rightfully a little ticked at me for screwing up the instructions and wasting his time. (sorry Henry)

As far as the other tune with Teacher is going he`s got a bunch of rap stuff written and it`s sounding great. He`s told me how he wants the parts to go and I`m way late on getting down to the studio and chopping it up to get his final approval. (Sorry Teach)
Once he says it`s cool I`ll throw down the final version of my guitar part and get it to everybody so they can add their parts.
A lot of you have heard this one allready also. Jax is playing the drums on this one I think.

The first song will be handled the same way once 2leod gets me his lyrics.

I`ve got my ftp server going so it`s gonna be fairly easy for you guys to up/download things as long as you get some kind of client software which you can download for free.

Once again sorry for the delays and miscommunication but I`m hoping this will turn out to be a really cool couple of songs once it`s done. It`s going to be a lot easier and quicker if we decide to do more songs later now that a couple things are working smoother now. (mostly my computer problems)
And also remember we all get a chance to mix the thing down which is going to be the fun part. We`ll get a chance to compare all our mixes and critique them and rip them apart if they suck.

I'll be up for doing a mix as well if you're looking to get another set of ears in on it.

On the musical front, I can contribute sod all other than: a science experiment if needed, wibbly noises , spoken word samples/cuts, drum programming.

lemme know if you can use my services, I got the funk

Sounds good Entropy. Maybe you could add in some stuff like that in a couple tracks so we all have some some extra craziness we can add to our mixes.(including yours) I`ll give you and everybody else the FINAL versions of the songs soon so we don`t have to **** around with this MP3 shit anymore.

Sounds good Kevin...this project is going to rock

here's a good FTP client for everyone to download...

Windows: http://www.ftpx.com/

OSX: http://download.com.com/3000-2151-10...ml?tag=lst-1-8

I couldn't find anything free for pre OSX, maybe someone else knows of something.

Kev, if it helps, my primary instrument is the guitar. Of course, I could also, contribute elsewhere.

Let me know.
