cranesong spider

hi guys:
i am sorry for my poor English....
now i am considering buying a spider mixer for my small studio.
i want it to collocate with a 896HD for tracking synth and vsti or doing some mixing.
my questins....
the spider mixer seems doesnt have any control room section to monitor what i am doing(analog op),it get 2ch digital op and 8ch digital op.so what will be the best way in this spider+896HD setting to monitor mixing from spider??the 896 get 2ch AES and 8CH ADAT aptical . Because when i am arranging i need to monitor all
mix from synth and vsti...
and when i tracking KB.synths. will i need any DIs??
