Thread Starter | Two Mixes of Pearl Jam's Alive
I've noticed something curious in the two mixes out there of this song (the original from Ten and Brendan O'Brien's remix on Rearviewmirror). The guitar solo sounds like it's the same take to me, but Mike McCready's time sounds better on Ten. In the newer mix on the greatest hits CD, it sounds like he's rushing. In 1991 I don't think they would have been dumping to Pro Tools to do editing (or did they?), so how would they have done such miniscule fixes in one track on a tape of 24 tracks? Forgive my analog ignorance. |
