Thread Starter | Strat tremolo arm
I am the new owner of an American Deluxe strat. This is my first use of a tremolo arm. The arm is supposed to be snap-in. I don't hear a snap. I just place it in there (it kind of floats) and then comes out or would fall out if you held the guitar upside down. Am I doing this wrong? Do I have the wrong tremolo arm? Thanks. |

Your trem arm should have ridge cut into the end. This ridge should snap into a socket inside the bridge. You might have to press it down harder to get it into the socket. If it still won't seat you could have a defective bridge and it should go the the repair shop. BTW, the old style trems have threads on them. DaveT |

Could I break something if I press too hard? It feels kind of "springy" in there when I push down. The tremolo seems to work BTW, I just never get a snap. I've seen the older thread ones, but I'm not used to the snap-in thing and don't want to break it. |
