linear eq is linear eq

why should i have the uad mastering eq when i have the cambridge.

the mastering eq is upsampled right? like the pultec and neve plugs.

will there really, really be any distinguishable difference?

i guess i could enable the demo.

the short answer is that the had master eq sounds good and the Cambridge is functional but not that nice sounding. IMO.

Nope EQ is not EQ! I think EQ is roughly as different in character as compression, if not more. People bitch about UA releasing tons of EQ plugins, but they're all way different from one another, and useful for different things.

Remember they don't just model filters, they model circuit behavior. The Helios is an example of this: no EQ gain and it still colors the sound (in a nice way, often!).
