If Your Mixes Sound Good on These, They Sound Good on Anything

<center>Has anyone tryed the Yamaha HS50M or HS80Ms! are they in family with the NS10M at all, except for the Brand name???

they are fairly similar i think....
do a search in Low End and you will find quite a bit of info, then call Warren @ Front End Audio if you are still interested:

the yammie 80's arn't bad, ESP for the $$$...

the selector switches I liked on the back were Low cut, mid boost, and Hi cut... They acutually sound close to the NS10's with respect to how a vocal sits in the mix. Otherwise they arn't ns10's but, allbeit, pretty darn good speakers.

will they sound closer to the NS10M if one puts someting in/block the bass port? or is it better to leave them as they are?

but isn't it one of the main features/characteristics of the NS10Ms that they are a closed box, and not a bassreflex system?
